Terms and Conditions

Homestay and Airport Pick-up
  1. Refund Policy - Placement Fee
    • The accommodation placement fee is non-refundable.
  2. Payment Requirements for Confirmation
    Homestay placement will only be confirmed once the following fees are fully paid:
    • Placement fee
    • Initial homestay accommodation
    • Airport pick-up fee
  3. Minimum Booking Period and Stay Commitment
    • Students must book their accommodation for the first 4 weeks unless exceptional circumstances apply.
    • Students are expected to remain in their accommodation for at least the first 4 weeks, except in cases of extreme hardship or unforeseen circumstances.
  4. Accommodation Change Notice
    • Students must inform Global experience and their host family if they wish to change accommodation. Two weeks' notice will apply for any homestay changes.
  5. Cancellation Policy – Homestay Fees
    • Full homestay accommodation fees are non-refundable if cancellation is received less than 2 working days of the student’s arrival.
    • Cancellation made after this period will incur 2 weeks cancellation fee.
  6. Cancellation Policy – Airport Pick-Up
    • The airport pick-up fee is non-refundable if cancellation is received less than 72 hours of student’s arrival.
    • If flight details change, students must inform us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid standard charges.
  7. Public Holiday Surcharge
    • A $110 Surcharge applies for arrivals on the following public holidays: Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday.
  8. Additional Service Fee
    • A $99 service fee applies to the following occasions: homestay transfer to another homestay provider and unused caregiving service.
  9. Late Booking Fee
    • $50 late booking fees apply for any bookings received less than 72 working hour.
Caregiver Service
  1. Refund Policy – Arrangement Fee
    • The accommodation placement fee is non-refundable.
  2. Refund Policy – Weekly Fee
    • The caregiver weekly fee is refundable if cancellation is made at least two weeks prior to the student’s arrival.
Parent Nomination Homestay
  1. Refund Policy – Parent Nomination Screening Request
    • The Parent Nomination screening fee is non-refundable once the screening process has commenced and/or if the nominated homestay is disapproved for not meeting Global experience’s standards.
    • The parent nomination screening fee is valid for one year.
    • If a revisit is required after this period, a new screening fee will apply.
  2. Refund Policy – Monitoring Weekly Fee
    • The parent nomination monitoring weekly fee is refundable with a minimum of two weeks’ notice.
